Athens Local Adventures

We booked the Athens by night tour and met our incredible guide Thodoris at Syntagma square. Thodoris was extremely entertaining, knowledgeable, and had incredible recommendations to make the most of our visit to Athens. The tour was so FUN and eye opening. We've been to Athens previously but never knew about the incredible night life and amazing places that our guide introduced to us. We honestly didn't want the tour to end and met the most amazing people and made memories to last a lifetime!! Thank you so much Athens local adventures for one amazing adventure, we will definitely book again!!

After spending a couple days wandering around where all the tourists go I met the wonderful Charlotte who took me where the really people of Athens eat and shop and hang out. Charlotte and I spent the day like old friends eating local foods, finding the perfect eclectic shops and markets. It was like having a friend/guide in a new town that was showing you around the city she loves. Thank you, Charlotte.

I booked this experience for a group of 5 who wanted to take a different approach of touring through Athens since we had already seen the main sights. We were lucky to have Nikoleta all to ourselves as she guided us through the colourful graffiti covered streets & alleys of Athens, introduced us to amazing local vendors (selling handcrafted art & goods), and stopped for delicious coffee, dessert and food. Nikoleta is passionate about Athens and what she does & it truly came through as we got to know her & the city. I highly recommend booking this tour in the beginning of your trip so you can spend some more time (after the tour) visiting the recommended places we walked by!

I did multiple tour with Local Adventures in Athens, and they were all fantastic. The guides were passionate and knowledgeable, and the entire group had so much fun. Word of advice - Do not show up to the food tours or the Twilight Tour hungry or thirsty. There is so much included on these tours!

I took Bohemian Tales of the City tour with my wife and we absolutely loved it! A fantastic experience explaining the current Greek reality, consequences of the crisis, differences in architecture, showing real local areas and impressive street art scene etc. Also, we were taken to the places we would have never found on our own! Amazing bars/cafes/restaurants in cool neighbourhoods! This tour felt like hanging out with a local friend which is thanks to our marvellous guide Thodoris! No words to describe how amazing he was! Great storyteller, always patient to answer all of our questions. A guy who surely knows what he's talking about and explains everything like a good sociologist. Thank you, Thodoris and Athens Local Adventures for making our city break to Athens great

Highlight of my trip to Athens, I was the only person on my tour and Theodoris made the tour just fantastic. He showed me so many interesting places (including his fave bakery) and explained everything in detail. This was a long day in the heat, even in September, but i barely noticed with the sites and conversation. What a day! Go!

We did a 3h walking tour through Athens with Theo and highly recommend you do too! Theo was so knowledgeable and enthusiastic and funny (!), we really fell in love with the city and it’s interesting stories. We hope to come back again soon.
